BRIEF PROFILE OF RADS SOKARIYE AND JOSHUA IJERUH, (FIRST) ARN RADIOGRAPHY COUPLE OF THE YEAR 2019

Mr. Joshua Ijeruh, hails from Isoko in Delta State of  Nigeria. He was working with a hospitality company also involved in travels and tours when he first set eyes on Ms Sokariye Amadi in Abuja. Soky, as she’s fondly called, hails from Okrika, in Rivers State of Nigeria and was already a 400 level Radiography scholar at University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) when she met Joshua in Abuja, during an external clinical posting.  Joshua fell madly in love with Soky, and would not let her go. He was so much in love that when she hinted that she would love him to become a radiographer, he jettisoned his initial ambition to become a physician and set machinery in motion to fulfil her wish.

Mr. Joshua Okpara-Ijeruh eventually gained admission to University of Calabar, Cross River State of Nigeria in 2006 to study Medical Radiography and graduated in 2012. As soon as he was ‘found worthy in character and learning’, and in the same year, he was joined in loving wedlock with his heartthrob, Soky, who waited patiently for him. After internship, he joined Precision Imaging Consultants, Port Harcourt as Principal Radiography 2013 to 2018. He later joined Image Diagnostics as Cross Sectional Radiographer from 2018 till date. Rad Ijeruh has been an astute member of ARN and held the position of Financial Secretary from 2016 to 2019 in Rivers State Branch.

Rad Sokariye Okpara-Ijeruh (nee Amadi), gained admission to UNN  to study Medical Radiography in 2001 and graduated in 2008. After her internship and NYSC, she was employed with the Rivers State Government as a Radiographer with Braitewaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (now Rivers State University Teaching Hospital). That was in 2011. She has been there ever since. Mrs Ijeruh has been a dogged member of ARN Rivers State Branch and held the position of Financial Secretary from 2012 to 2014. Her nuptial knot with Mr Joshua Okpara. Ijeruh is been blessed with 2 girls and a boy.
