Abstract

Lead is the most common shield against x-rays because of its high density, ease of installation and low cost. Though there had been an unguided choice of shielding materials by radiation producers and users particularly in Radiology. There has not been sufficient data and bases for comparing the shielding efficiency of lead and concrete as obtained in various local environments.
